 Hi All!!

Finally the long-awaited pattern has released! Let me introduce you, Nia Mandala 💙

Maybe you've seen some photos of my last work on Instagram using Paintbox yarn. So yeah this is my first time using paintbox yarn and I really like it!!!

This yarn is made of 100% cotton. This is DK yarn is so beautiful!! beautiful!!I used a 4mm hook this time. This make our project finished and big quickly. So good for last minute gift! The finished size of my Nia Mandala is 30 cm diameter.

The Paintbox yarn is soft and has a very beautiful color. It’s available in 56 shades!!

And for this Mandala, I used Paper White (401) 1 skein, Dolphin Blue (437) 1 skein, and Washed Teal (433) 1 skein.

And finally after a long time of designing and making, I can publish the pattern!

Abbreviation (US term)

ch - chain

sc - single crochet

dc - double crochet

slst - slip stitch

sp - space

st - stitch

sk - skip

yo - yarn over

FPdc - Front Post double crochet 

Special Stitches ;

Beg CL - Beginning Cluster : slst in indicated st/sp, ch 2, (YO, insert hook in same st/sp, YO, pull through, YO, pull through 2 loops on the hook) 2 times, YO, pull through 3 loops on the hook.

CL - Cluster (3 dc tog in 1 st/sp) : (YO, insert hook in indicated st/sp, YO, pull through, YO, pull through 2 loops on the hook) 3 times, YO, pull through 4 loops on the hook.

picot - ch 3, slst into front loop and vertical loop of last st

Pattern :

Round 1 : {yarn A} in magic ring, 8 sc, slst in first sc. Fasten off. 

—8 sc

Round 2 : {attach yarn B with beg CL in any sc} ch 2, [CL in next st, ch 2] 7 times, slst in first beg CL. 

Fasten off. 

—8 CL, 8 ch-2 sp

Round 3 : {attach yarn C with slst in any ch-2 sp}, ch 1 (do not count as a st now and throughout), (sc, ch 2, 3 dc, ch 2, sc) in same sp, sk CL, [(sc, ch 2, 3 dc, ch 2, sc) in next ch-2 sp, sk CL] 7 times, slst in first sc. Fasten off. 

—16 sc, 16 ch-2 sp, 24 dc

Round 4 : {attach yarn D with slst in first dc of any petal} ch 1, 2 sc in same st, (sc, picot, sc) in next st, 2 sc in next st, ch 1, sk (ch-2 sp, sc), FPdc around CL of round 2, ch 1, sk (sc, ch-2 sp), [2 sc in next st, (sc, picot, sc) in next st, 2 sc in next st, ch 1, sk (ch-2 sp, sc), FPdc around CL of round 2, ch 1, sk (sc, ch-2 sp)] 7 times, slst in first sc. Fasten off. 

—8 picot, 16 ch-1 sp, 48 sc, 8 FPdc

Weave in all yarn ends and done!

dc - double crochet

FPdc - Front Post Double Crochet

Special Stitches :

beg PS (beginning puff stitch) : 

sl st in indicated st/sp, pull through, [yo, insert hook in same, yo, pull through] 4 times, yo, pull through 9 loops on hook, ch 1 to close

PS (puff stitch) : yo, insert hook

in indicated st/sp, yo, pull through, [yo, insert hook in same, yo, pull through] 

4 times, yo, pull through 9 loops on hook, ch 1 to close

picot : ch 3, slst into front loop and vertical loop of last st made. 

Pattern :

Round 1 : {Yarn A} in a Magic Ring, ch 3 (count as a dc), 11 dc, slst in 3rd ch of beg ch 3. Fasten off.
