Peace Garden Cushion (Crochet Pattern)

Peace Garden Cushion

(Click for Indonesian language)

Finally after sooo long time!

If you've followed my Instagram, maybe you're familiar to this project I crocheted:

Peace Garden CUshion

Yup!! This is a crochet cushion which took a long time to finishwell, you know, how can mothers of 3 childrens make crochet project fast, hehe ;)

And what makes me very happy with this project is I made it with Paintbox yarn from LoveCrafts!! This is the first time I've used this yarn. I've been curious about this brand for a long time and finally I have a chance to trying it too. Thank you so much LoveCrafts for these beautiful yarn!!

Also Big thanks for all my testers:

Aparna Upadhye, , Angela Arancibia González, Tayu Purnamasari, Tejesvinee, and Fatma Metwally.Humeiyra

Also Jovette DSouza Pinto as a tech editor of this pattern.

So the name of the yarn I used is Paintbox Cotton DK yarn. The yarn is good.. It’s made from 100% cotton. Available in 64 beautiful colors. If you look at the colors, they have a bright cheerful color.

LoveCrafts

for this Peace Garden cushion, I used the following colors:

Yellow: Buttercup Yellow (423) 1 skein

White: Paper White (401) 2 skeins

Blue: Washed Teal (433) 2 skeins

Green: Lime Green (429) 1 skein

Pink: Bubblegum Pink (451) 1 skein

Purple: Tea Rose (443) 1 skein

Paintbox yarn

My favorite color of this yarn is its blue, “Washed Teal”. It's sooooooo beautiful. It’s bright but calm. Oh it’s hard to describe.

For this project I used a 4 mm hook as suggested in the label. But for those of you who like the tight looks, maybe you can use 3.5 mm hook although the size will be smaller. Well, you can use any yarn and suitable hook and try the first 4 rounds of the pattern, if it 10 cm, you will get approximately 40 cm finished size.

So, why is it called Peace Garden?

Actually this design reminds me of my mother's garden in front of the fence of her house, it is very beautiful. First Iwanted to name it "Mom's Garden", but it seemed too common name. So I named "Peace Garden for this design.

(Back Side)

Little facts about this design:

⁃ The first time I tried to design is in 2019 and then stagnated.

⁃ For the next 2 years (2021), I can now continue with Paintbox yarn!! I started in August 2021.

⁃ Yarn arrived to my homeI crochet it from first round, adding more design for next rounds and back side, write patterns, send to tech editor, send to tester, fix mistakes in the patterb, translate to UK terms by tech editor, make it into PDF where I only can open my laptops while the kids sleep, and this month just rease!! It's been a long time.

And how if someone suddenly shares the pattern for free, what should I say? Hahaha...

I'm sorry for ventingI just want to share to you all that designing a pattern is a long journey. I just sad to see so much pattern shared freely. I hope we can appreciate each others ðŸ’–

Back to topic, I am very very happy and excited to release this Peace Garden Cushion!! This pattern available in English US & UK Terms.
